Of local proportions, anyways. 'Cause our local arcade shut down last night.

I dunno. The mall just feels empty, now... Pocket Change was more than just an arcade to a lot of us. It was a safe zone for when life got to us. A second home, despite it being very public. I met nearly all of my local friends there. I worked there. The owner of the arcade became as much of a friend to all of us as we were to each other. And to see him leave... Well, it makes me wanna cry all over again.

Pocket Change was the greatest arcade I've ever been to. Sure, it was small. Yeah, some machines were a bit run down. But I couldn't think of a place to have better times. I could sit on the bench, watching DDR players come and go, and lose track of the time. I could sit and watch Mickey and Laura play DC vs. Capcom 2 and forget where I needed to go. I never needed to take place in any of the games, and I felt right at home.

Now that all that's gone... I don't know what we're all going to do. Our safe zone was taken from us, and we have nowhere to go now. Truthfully, I don't know if we wanna go anywhere. There's no place like Pocket Change.

There's no place like home.
